Honda Activa electric scooter launch today. What’s to come?

electric scooter

The new Honda Activa electric scooter will be launched today. The scooter is the Japanese maker’s debut EV to be launched in India. Here’s what you can expect.

Swappable Batteries

The Activa Electric will have two interchangeable batteries. The convenience of the removable battery packs is awe-inspiring since it permits one to transport the battery pack to their workplace or home and then charge it at their convenience. This is a great way to avoid the problems of installing charging stations in parking areas. Battery stations that are swappable enable users to swiftly and easily replace a depleted battery for a fully charged battery in a matter of minutes.

TFT Display that has Bluetooth Connectivity

The most expensive model will have a TFT display. It is sleek and clean and also comes with Bluetooth connectivity. It could also have music controls as well as navigation. The scooter with lower specs will have a basic LCD display.

Two Ride Modes

The EV will come with two riding modes: Sport as well as Standard. The latter mode will have a slow throttle response and will increase range. On the other hand, its Sport mode will provide quicker acceleration and may even have greater top speed too. But the range is likely to be reduced.

Range of 104 km

The Activa E is expected to provide a range of 104 km. It will be within the same range as rivals of the Vida V1, Ather Rizta, and many more. Its range is sufficient for the scooter to function as a city runabout.

Competition

It is the Honda Activa electric scooter that will be competing with other scooters like the TVS iQube as well as the Bajaj Chetak, the Ola S1 range, and the Ather Rizta, as well as the Vida V1. Viva V1.
